Studies have shown that the average child spends less time outside than a prison inmate. This can cause children to have ‘Nature Deficit Disorder’ as well as having a negative impact on their mental and physical health.
Our outdoor and Forest school activities can:
Develop self-regulation skills
Cope with and learn from failure
Build resilience
Gain a sense of achievement
Increase motivation
Improve problem solving skills
Expand vocabulary and communication skills
Give feelings of empowerment and new perspectives
Build positive relationships with others and team building skills
Home-from-home
A curious and homely environment
Our setting is warm, cosy and inviting.
Children gain a sense of belonging and enjoy every day with their "Blossom Family".

Children can engage in Nature based activities, lots of messy play and expand on their imagination with curious resources.

The children learn to respect one another, expand on their experiences and make close bonds with the staff and children.

The children are invited to engage in every day task's, such as preparing healthy snack's and dinners and using real crockery and utensils in their play. This helps the children to build social, communication, problem solving skills, as well as life skills.
